Travel Outfit Ideas

Hi all,

I love to travel and I love everything that has to do with travelling, including outfit planning! When I’m travelling by plane, I love to be comfortable but also look somewhat put together. Here are three outfit ideas that I would wear (and have worn!).

1. Total Comfort.

This outfit is perfect for long haul flights, especially those that are overnight. You’ll feel like you’re in your pyjamas and you’ll be able to fall right asleep. I always travel with a sweater on the plane because a) I get cold and b) it doesn’t take up room in my suitcase.

Leggings: Champion.

T-shirt: GAP Factory.

Sweater: GAP Factory (this is a similar one).

Shoes: Nike Tanjun (bought at Famous Footwear).

2. Comfortable but work appropriate.

This one would be great if you’re going on a business trip and will be making an appearance at the office or at a client’s shortly after getting off the plane. The jeans are very comfortable (and affordable!) and the jean jacket makes for a put together look. Plus, it doesn’t take up unnecessary space in your suitcase.

Jean jacket: Reitmans.

Jeans: Forever 21.

Flats: DSW (similar ones).

T-shirt: GAP Factory.

3. For vacation.

I love to travel in maxi dresses when I’m going on a beach vacation because it gets me in the vacation mode and it covers my legs so I don’t get cold on the plane. I always like to bring either a cardigan or little jacket with me even on beach vacations just in case, so I paired the dress with my jean jackets, so it once again doesn’t take up space in my suitcase (do you see a pattern here?).

Jean jacket: Reitmans.

Sandals: Steve Madden bought at TJ Maxx. These are similar ones.

Thanks for checking it out! What’s your favourite travel outfit?

Athleisure OOTD

Hi all,

I’m sharing a quick “athleisure” outfit, one that I’ve been loving. Lately, all I’ve wanted is to be in easy-to-throw-on, comfortable clothing and this look definitely has all that I’ve been looking for! The details are below.

T-shirt: GAP Factory.

Jeans: GAP Factory. These are similar ones.

Shoes: Nike (bought at Famous Footwear).

Handbag: Fossil. They don’t seem to have it anymore but this is a similar one.

Thank you for reading, have a great weekend!

Navy Skirt: Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea

Hi all,

Today I’m sharing this super cute outfit that would be perfect for a Valentine’s Day dinner or a regular, perhaps “fancier” date night. This is probably my favourite skirt that I own; I love the cutout detailing all over, plus it’s very flattering.

All the details are below!

Skirt: Banana Republic Factory.

Green shirt: GAP factory, similar one. This is the same model that I’m wearing, but in a coral colour, which I think would also go great with the skirt, especially for spring. Plus it’s only $8.97! This is a white top that would also look great for a more “subdued” look.

Thanks for reading!

Jean Shirt- OOTD January 26th 2017

Hi all,

I got this jean shirt from my mom for Christmas and I love just how versatile it is. It’s a little bit big on me so I like to wear it unbuttoned with a white tank underneath. The detailing of the slit in the back is super cute!

Jean shirt: Nine West (bought at Sears).

White tank top: my favourite ones are from Aeropostale.

Leggings: Champion.

Sneakers: Steve Madden.

Necklace: Mejuri.

Bag: Kate Spade (similar one).

OOTD Thursday December 22nd

Hi all,

Today I just wanted to share a fun & festive outfit that I’m wearing on my birthday.

I always love wearing “holiday” sweaters this time of year to get into the holiday spirit!

Sweater: I got this from Garage a couple of years ago but I can’t find it anywhere online. I found a super cute one from Forever 21, which I linked. This one from GAP factory is also another one I’d love to wear!

Jeans: Forever 21.

Boots: Banff trail. These boots are SO warm and are incredibly comfortable. When I tried them on in the store, my feet felt like they were on a cloud. And this feeling has yet to go away!

I hope you enjoyed this quick outfit post!

Have a wonderful Christmas eve & Christmas!

Neutral Sweater Styled 3 Ways

Hi all,

Today I’m sharing how to style a plain neutral sweater 3 ways: for the office (+ a small variation), for a night out and for a casual day. I bought this sweater at Forever 21.

The details for each outfit are at the end.

  1. For the office: I paired the sweater with a blue & white striped dress shirt underneath, making sure to stick the collar of the shirt over the collar of the sweater. I tucked both of these into black dress pants and added silver flats. I’m using my work bag: the Kate Spade Cedar Street Jensen.

Variation: Replace the dress pants with black jeans and keep the dress shirt and sweater untucked for a more casual office look.

2. For a night out: I paired the sweater with black jeans, black patent heels, a gold statement necklace and a black cross body bag.

3. For a casual day out: I threw on some blue jeans, with my Steve Madden sneakers, my pink Kate Spade cross body bag (that goes with pretty much everything) and a Tiffany and Co. necklace.

Now for the details:

1.Dress pants: Costco. I couldn’t find them but I linked similar ones here.

Silver flats: DSW (similar ones)

Dress shirt: H&M (similar one)

Purse: Kate Spade

Variation: Black jeans- Forever 21

2. Black Jeans: Forever 21

Black heels: Payless

Necklace: Forever 21 (couldn’t find the exact one but this is a similar one)

Purse: Fossil

3. Blue Jeans: GAP (not the exact ones, but similar)

Shoes: Steve Madden

Purse: Kate Spade (not the exact colour)

Necklace: Tiffany & Co

OOTD Thursday November 10th

Hi all,

Today I’m sharing this “comfy cozy” outfit. I love throwing on a t-shirt with a great chunky sweater/cardigan for an easy but “put-together” look. I especially love this cardigan because it keeps me so warm, and it is quite long, so I can wear leggings with it and be even more comfortable!

The details are below!

Beige t-shirt: I bought mine a couple of years ago at TJ Maxx but I found this similar one from Forever 21 for $4.90!!

Cream cardigan: GAP. I bought this last year at the outlet, but here’s a similar one.

Leggings: Champion. These are my favourite! I bought them about a year and a half ago and no matter how many times I wash them, they don’t lose their elasticity.

Boots: DSW– Unisa Teylor Riding Boot.

Thanks for reading & have a great evening!

What I Wore Wednesday: October 12th

Hi all,

I really love this outfit! The layering is perfect for fall weather and it’s super easy to throw on.

I wanted to keep it neutral today (like most fall days, actually), which is why I stayed in the beige/earth tones.

Outfit details:

Beige long sleeve t-shirt: Hollister. It comes in a couple other colours and I may or may not have bought them all.

Green jacket: GAP. I got mine at the outlet so I can’t find it online, but the one I linked is very similar.

Jeans: GAP. Once again I bought these at the outlet but the linked ones are very similar.

Booties: DSW-Diba Block Heel Bootie.

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

What I Wore Wednesday: September 28th

Hi all,

I call this my “desperately trying to hold onto summer” look. It’s great for this time of year; when it’s cold in the morning but warm by mid afternoon.

I got this t-shirt dress on major sale at Hollister a few weeks ago and paired it with a classic jean jacket. I added my Steve Madden “quilted” slip-ons; I think they are perfect for transitioning from summer to fall, before it gets so cold that boots are inevitable.

Outfit details:

T-shirt dress: Mine is from Hollister but since it was on clearance, it’s no longer being sold. I found a similar one from Target.

Jean jacket: Reitmans.

Shoes: Steve Madden ‘Ecentrcq’ Sneaker- Nordstrom or The Bay.I’m super tempted to get them in the rose gold colour as well…

Thanks for reading & have a wonderful day!

My Top 3 Sweaters/Cardigans For Fall

Hi all,

I thought I would share my three favourite sweaters/cardigans that are perfect for fall. These are what I like to call my “comfy cozy” sweaters.

  1. Poncho-style turtle neck sweater from GAP. I got mine at the outlet so it can’t be bought online, but this is a similar one that I think would be just as warm and comfortable. Alternatively, I found this one from Reitmans that is almost the same colour.

2) Pink long sleeve cardigan. This one is SO soft. I bought this last year at Reitmans so this exact model isn’t available anymore, but this is a very similar one, in the same colour. And it’s on sale!

3) Burgundy sweater from Hollister. Currently on sale!

I hope you enjoyed this short round-up! I’m very big on effortless style and these are great to throw on over a basic t-shirt or tank top.

Thanks for reading & have a wonderful day!
